Sie wurde zwischen 1940 und1942 errichtet und war Teil des Alpenwalls. Das Verteidigungssystem setzte sich aus sechzehn kavernierten Anlagen zusammen, die in vier Gruppen unterteilt waren: Invillino Ost, Invillino West, Monte Navado und Plan di Sieas. Die Werke, die aktuell besichtigt werden k\u00f6nnen, waren Teil der Gruppe Invillino West, die insgesamt aus den folgenden f\u00fcnf Werken bestand:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Werk 1: bestehend aus vier Stellungen f\u00fcr Maschinengewehr;<\/li>\n<li>Werk 2 (kann besichtigt werden): bestehend aus sechs Stellungen f\u00fcr Maschinengewehr;<\/li>\n<li>Werk 3 (kann besichtigt werden): bestehend aus zwei Stellungen f\u00fcr Panzerabwehrkanone und sieben Stellungen f\u00fcr Maschinengewehr, von denen eine in Panzerkuppel mit vier Schie\u00dfscharten ausgestattet ist;<\/li>\n<li>Werk 4: hierbei handelt es sich um das Hauptwerk, das aus f\u00fcnf Stellungen f\u00fcr Maschinengewehr bestand;<\/li>\n<li>Werk 5: bestehend aus einem Unterstand und einer Stellung f\u00fcr Maschinengewehr.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Keines dieser Werke wurde nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg reaktiviert; es handelt sich hierbei somit um die einzigen originalen Bauwerke des Alpenwalls, die Aufgabe, den Talboden von der M\u00fcndung des Degano in den Tagliamento, s\u00fcd\u00f6stlich von Villa Santina, bis zur Ortschaft Madonna del Sasso, etwa drei Kilometer von Tolmezzo entfernt, zu kontrollieren.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Einige Werke der Gruppe Invillino Ost und Invillino West dienten au\u00dferdem dazu, die Stra\u00dfe Invillino-Villa-Chiaulis zu sich s\u00fcdlich des Ortsteils Invillino der Gemeinde Villa Santina (Provinz Udine). Auf der Staatsstra\u00dfe S.S. 52 \u201eCarnica\u201c von Tolmezzo kommend am Ortseingang von Villa Santina im Kreisverkehr die zweite Ausfahrt nehmen und den Ortsteil Invillino in Richtung Verzegnis durchqueren. Den Fluss Tagliamento auf H\u00f6he von Madonna del Ponte \u00fcberqueren und etwa 150 Meter auf der Landesstra\u00dfe S.P. 72 weiterfahren bis zur Einfahrt auf eine unbefestigte Stra\u00dfe, die sich auf der rechten Seite befindet und durch ein Hinweisschild \u201eCascata Plera\u201c (Wanderweg CAI 806) gekennzeichnet ist. Dieser Stra\u00dfe 150 Meter zu Fu\u00df folgen. Das Werk 2 ist auf der rechten Seite ersichtlich.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Um das Werk 3 im Ortsteil Viertide zu erreichen, an der Einfahrt zur unbefestigten Stra\u00dfe (Wanderweg CAI 806) vorbeifahren und auf der S.P. 72 weiterfahren. Nach der Kehre befindet sich einige hundert Meter weiter auf der linken Seite ein Pfad, der in den Wald f\u00fchrt. Diesem nicht markierten Weg in Richtung Norden folgen, bis man den Fluss Tagliamento sieht.
